My colors are black and white. The girls will be in black chiffon dresses. They will be carrying white rose bouquets. We want to use pink as an accent color for like decorations at the reception and for the cake. My hang up is this.....Should I go with a pink rose cascade to stand out, have a mixture of pink and white or should I go all white like my girls? For the altar the flowers will be in white. For the pews we are using a 3 stem rose arrangement for selected pews most likely in pink. And once again the reception hall flowers will be in pink roses.
Need help on which flower route to choose for the wedding!?
I honestly think you should go with whatever color you prefer- so do you like red better or pink? I feel either would be beautiful... but it's which one would you prefer to have. Our colors are hot pink and black- with some white too- so kind of close to yours. I think it will look sharp. And honestly, if my colors were red to begin with - instead of pink, then I would be going with red even though someone suggested to use pink to soften it up a bit.
I feel the red would be very sharp. (I think for me, hot pink would as well).
For your bouquet, I would say go with some white roses with pink too... or red if you do choose red. This way you kind of go with your bridesmaids, but have a different touch. In my friend's wedding, the guys had hot pink rose, she had hot pink rose bouquet, and we as bridesmaids had white roses. I didn't feel it went together- felt like the white roses were a bit out of place. So that's why I say mix the white with pink for your bouquet.
Again, go with the color scheme you want. don't let anyone else change your mind. I think what you originally had will be bold and beautiful! I personally love hot pink (I don't like light pink). So anyone who tries to talk me into having any light pink, I'm going to say no. :)
Good luck!
Reply:It sounds like the rest of the flowers for the ceremony are pretty well planned. I would go with a bolder pink for your bride's maids flower bouquets. Maybe hot pink tiger lilies or roses...something along those lines It will really pop against their black dresses and create a nice contrast. Then as far as decorating...use a nice rosey/light pink mixed with white flowers. Your bouquet should be white, maybe with some light pink flowers.
Reply:hello!
i would rethink the pink. i know you must love pink, i do to! however your fi may prefer RED.
this is a VERY popular color combo now.
RED, WHITE and BLACK.
VERY classy!
have fun and enjoy!
Reply:Use as much bright pink as you can, because the morbidity of the black dresses needs as much uplifting as you can do.
Reply:My wedding colors were black, red and white. My bouquet was red roses with jewels scattered with the flowers, black ribbon on the stem and white criss crossing through the ribbon. My bridesmaids had White lilies and roses with
with ribbon and black ribbon criss crossing. Hard to explain. But it turned out really well. I didn't think it was dramatic, I just thought it looked pretty classical.
Reply:I would include the pink in your bouquet as well. Otherwise the pink looks like you've thrown it in to the mix for no rhyme or reason. Having it in your bouquet gives it a reason for being there.
Reply:Ask your florist, they should be able to give you ideas.
Reply:i think that the pink will look better since your dress is white i assume you could do either all pink or with some white i did blue with accent of white
