Are camelias in season during the month of August?

I am planning my flower arrangements for my wedding in August and I like the camelia as a flower

Are camelias in season during the month of August?
We grow camellias in our garden. They are available during winter and into early spring (November thru April here in California). They're beautiful flowers but exceptionally hard to arrange in vases as the stems tend to be twiggy and too thin to hold them up (the flowers can be quite heavy - they tend to hang down while still unpicked), and the quantity of leaves either hides them or renders the arrangement too bushy.

They are great for floating in a wide flat dish of water and will last well for several days this way.

They should be picked early in the flowering cycle or else the entire flower tends to fall off the stem.

Hope this helps, and have a happy wedding!
