Need suggestions for a Candle/Flower Winter Arrangement?

Id like to have a Winter arrangement at the place I work of flowers and candles but Im not sure what to put together for a classy/elegant look ... Id prefer the flowers to be silk (I can get many years out of the arrangement this way and won't spend a ton)

Reply:This is a great time to get a winter arrangement...buy left over [on sale] silvery,,,glittery,,, foliage ...and add brilliant blue and shiny objects like glass beads and white and blue candles put it all on a mirror laid flat or arrange in a clear bowl or vase... let your imagination go
Reply:well silver candles are the best for winter months because they have a way of fighting depression. Nope I'm serious. Why you think its used so much at christmas time? Its shiny and has a secondary cause. But you can use white as well its pretty for snow as well. Winter candles are wonderful, some scents are now available such as snow or pine cone, pretty smells. Don't used pine cones or pine needles after the second of January for winter decoration, its bad luck. My suggestion would be red berries, nuts, apples, things of this nature. You want to use winter "fruits and nuts and berries" to stay in your theme. Actually the only time you should use flowers in a flower arrangement should be about the time that they start to bloom to the time that they naturally die. You can go to a store and get status, and ucylupus and other things of this nature to go with your berrys and nuts and things. But for winter you want to keep a winter theme, there are ways to dress it up to make it look pretty and I'm sure you can come up with dozens of ways.
