Begin a garden filled with poppies, daisies, roses, tulips, etc.

Put advertisments out and sign a deal with a flower supplier. Set up an office to meet with clients and get the buisness an email adress. Create buiness cards, flyers, etc and post them where people who need flower arrangements would go (Bridal stores, community bulletin boards, party stores) offer a coupon for free arrangments to first-time clients. Make sure you dress smart, your flowers are fresh and pretty, and they are well priced and not to expensive.

Please help me with flower arrangements for the bouquets!!!?

Beautiful dresses! A bridal bouquet fitting for your dress would be a nosegay which is a circular hand tied bouquet. You can have white and fuchsia roses (approx 2 1/2 dozen )in the bouquet. If you cannot find fuchsia roses ask your florist to color white roses for you. Between the roses place sprigs of baby's breath which could be sprayed black or use black artificial ones. Folds of white bridal tulle and short sprigs of ivy encircling the bouquet (again ask a florist) would give it an elegant appearance. To upgrade the look further, insert pearl shaped corsage pins - 3 each in the center of each rose ..white pins for the fuchsia roses and fuchsia for the white roses. Cross Tie white satin ribbon around the stem of the bouquet and place a corsage pin at each cross point again to give the bouquet an elegant look. If you have a maid/matron of honor her bouquet could be a smaller version of yours with more fuchsia roses than the white and her bouquet could be tied with black satin ribbon and fuchsia corsage pins place at each cross tie. Your bridal attendants bouquets again would be smaller than the maid/matron bouquet in a combination of both fuchsia and white roses cross tied with black satin ribbon and white and fuchsia corsage pins place alternately. I hope this helps.. I you use my suggestions please e-mail me photos ! Enjoy your special day and may God bless you both.
Reply:I'd have the bridesmaids carry bouquets of fushia roses. I'd have you carry a larger bouquet of white roses with a few fushia roses.

To me, the colors you've chosen are simple and elegant, with a pop of color. I would keep that same type of feel with the flowers. Simple and elegant with a pop of color.
Reply:Okay, I know this is not a rose, but as soon as you said black and fuschia I thought of the hot chocolate calla. Take a look, you might really like them.

In a boquet they are really really gorgeous.

Reply:pretty, how about lillies?.....they are reasonably priced, they last forever and you can get them with a nice pink inside of white or pink hue....I think the flowers would be best to be soft in color and they smell so so good....jmo congrats and good luck.
Reply:A few White long-stemmed calla lillies for you, with white satin wrapped ribbon on the stems and pink long-stemmed roses for the girls wrapped in pink satin ribbon. Keep it simple and it will be elegant and cheaper.

Bouquets, boutonnieres and flower arrangements where can I find some pics??
ther are always grate ideas on marthastewart.com
Reply:You don't necessarily have to find a picture of a blue and red bouquet - just find one you like, and when you go to talk to your florist, tell her that you want the flowers to be red and blue instead. I did the same thing. My colours are pink, and I couldn't find any pink bouquets that I really liked, so I just printed out pictures of other colours, and told my florist that I liked the shape, and flowers of this bouquet, except I want it in pink. Basically, find a bouquet picture based on the flowers within the bouquet, and the shape of the bouquet, rather than colour of it.
Reply:Here a few bouquets ...

Reply:A great place to start is by discussing it with a florist. They can tell you what kind of flowers are in season, recommend some to you as well.

What plants to put in a large flower bed?

I just moved to a new house and there is a very large flower bed in an "L" shape on my corner and I want to plant something there after I fix it up.. I need something easy that will come back year after year. If it is a flowering plant I would prefer it have bloom all summer. I am on a busy neighborhood st. so I would also like it to be a "neat" and pleasing looking arrangement.. Something fairly low maintenance. Any suggestions? I live in the north east.

The best plant for your area will also need to take into consideration what soil type you have, soil pH, amount of water available and how much sun. Local advice is often a good thing, or check with your state extension service for a list of plants that do particularly well in your state.

One possibility that's pretty adaptable is 'Stella d'Oro' daylily:

Personally, and depending on how much room you've got, I'd be pretty bored with yellow daylilies all summer long, so I'd probably add a couple of small trees with interesting spring flowers and winter bark. e.g.: http://arnoldia.arboretum.harvard.edu/pd...

Or if you'd like folks to not cut across your property, some rugosa roses might be a good bet:

Not only are they hardy, they positively resent pesticides and fertilizer. Leave them alone (except for pruning) and they're delighted! http://oldheirloomroses.com/Rugosa.htm
Reply:no perennial will bloom all summer but you can plant a few things that will bloom for a long time and one after another.

For late summer and into fall you can't beat black-eyed susans and cone-flowers.

You should also think of layering ie shorter plants in the front , medium in the middle and taller at the back.

for the front and shorter plants I love the perennial geranium also called cranesbill. They are lovely and have a nice leaf and come in many colours. Also columbines are lovely.

For the middle I love veronica spicata which has a purple plume.

something else i have just thought of thast blooms for a long time is called spiderwort. Each bloom lasts one day but it does continue for a long ,long time. They are really pretty.

If you have some shady spots you should do some hosta.

I would also make sure to get some artemesia which is a lovely silver colour. It doesn't really have flowers but the leaves are nice and pretty and silver and it looks stunning.

hope these are helpful ideas
Reply:I suggest you go to your local professional garden spot and ask for advice there. You will be able to look that the plants that are most pleasing to you and get advice on how to care for them.
Reply:You can plant rhodo's . they flower in spring and heather is nice, i do believe it flowers in summer as well. Lilacs are nice and all 3 of these are low maintanence and look very nice. You could also plant a hydrangia depending on how alcaline or acid your soil is the flowers can range from a brilliant blue to a purple.all of these come back every year as do peonies. i hope this helps you in chosing your plants.
Reply:We had the following and they were so pretty that people would drive by just to look at them:

Be sure to follow directions that will come with the roses.

hey omg i was just in this boat... i went to Barnes and Noble and Books-a-Million and i found a book on different bouquets and how to make them... this book is great, it tells you exactly what you need and it tells you directions and step by step picture examples to go by. the book is Creative Wedding Florals you can make... It was 20.00 dollars but i think it is well worth it. I hope this works out for you....

I make flower arrangements how do i get a job doing that?
Pretty good for someone named farthead.

Get a job with FTD or a local wedding planner.
Reply:You could apply at local floral shops.
Reply:You could look for a job in a flower shop or start your own business doing arrangements for people.
Reply:If you really enjoy doing that type of creative work, I would suggest you go to a local florist and apply. If you have pictures of some of your work, you should bring them along with you. That way, the florist can see your handiwork.

Help for melasma

Where can I find a flower wholesaler to supply fresh flowers every week for my small Hotel in Horley, Surrey?

The local florist charges too much, all I need is weekly fresh flower supply. I will do the arrangements myself. I would need about 80 stems, and 20 foliage/grass per week. Any help would be appreciated

Where can I find a flower wholesaler to supply fresh flowers every week for my small Hotel in Horley, Surrey?
Most cut flowers are sold through the flower market (Bloemenmarkt) at Aaalsmeer in Holland and consignments are shipped throughout Europe to florists and commercial resellers. There are 10 or so florists around and about you in Horley, Redhill %26amp; Reigate so you could visit each one and ask them whether they would be willing to add an additional box to their order each week and you pay them cost plus a reasonable handling charge. This would ensure that your business doesn't go to a competitor and they get additional volume with the supplier (reducing their prices). You'll have to 'sell' the idea to them as I think the quantity you need is too small for a unique delivery to you. If you don't ask - you don't get! Good luck :-)
Reply:I always buy my fresh flowers from tesco. They always last me about 2 weeks, and I think they do a delivery as well That's if you have a tescos near you . good luck.
Reply:I would suggest you start with Tesco, but seriously consider adding a small greenhouse on your property if you can. Your climate is mild enough to order flowering plants and raise them year-round so you can get your 80 stems and 20 foliage cheaper. Or you can look up local nurseries and see who is raising stock for florists - if there is nothing local, than see what the delivery trucks say that pull up to the local florist and buy your stock directly from their supplier - why not? You will need to snoop around a little to find this out, but if they can deliver to that florist, they can come down the street and deliver to you as well. ;)
